Condiciones de uso

These terms of use describe how you may use Podwelle and what the app does. Podwelle is a player for internet radio and podcasts on Android. The content itself comes from third parties – the app finds it, shows it and plays it.
1. Scope
The provider of the app is Alex (Alphamaster), Switzerland; name and address are given in the legal notice. Contact: support@podwelle.app.
These terms apply to the use of the Android app Podwelle. By installing and using the app you agree to them. Obtaining the app and buying anything inside it are additionally covered by the terms of Google Play.
Podwelle is coming soon to Google Play. Section 4 (Premium) applies from the version that contains purchases and ads.
2. The service
Podwelle is a directory and a player. The app brings stations and podcasts together and plays them. The content comes from third parties: radio stations run their streams themselves, podcasts deliver their episodes through their RSS feed.
Station data comes from radio-browser.info. The app finds podcasts through Apple Podcasts and fyyd; playback runs straight from each podcast’s RSS feed. You can add your own feeds through the RSS import. The provider runs no backend: stations, episodes and audio data do not pass through the provider’s servers and are not stored there.
The provider gives no warranty that a station or a podcast is reachable, what is playing there, or whether its operator holds the necessary rights. Stations and feeds can disappear or change at any time. The provider does not review the content and does not adopt it as their own.
Rights holders who object to an entry should write to support@podwelle.app. The provider reviews every report. Because the directories come from third parties, the provider cannot always change an entry directly; in that case the report is passed on to the source responsible.
3. Use
The app is intended for private use. It requires Android 12 or newer.
Podwelle has no recording feature: radio streams cannot be captured with the app.
You may not query the app or the services it uses automatically or to an extent that disrupts their operation, circumvent technical protection measures, use the app for an unlawful purpose, or redistribute content you hold no rights to.
4. Premium and purchases
Premium is an optional extra. It removes the ads and unlocks additional features: the saved songs without a limit, the radio alarm and your own stations. What a given app version contains is stated in the app next to the offer. Everything else stays free.
There are three forms: a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription and a one-time purchase (in the app: “Once”).
Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen period until you cancel. Cancelling runs through Google Play (in the Play Store under “Payments and subscriptions”) and takes effect at the end of the current period; until then Premium stays active. The yearly subscription includes a free seven-day trial. It is available once only and only to new subscribers. If it is not cancelled during the trial, it turns into a paid year. The one-time purchase is a single payment that does not renew.
Purchase, payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds run exclusively through Google Play and are governed by its terms. The provider processes no payments and receives no payment details. Prices are shown in the Play Store and differ by country and currency.
A purchase belongs to the Google account it was made with. Every time it starts, the app asks Google Play about existing purchases. After a reinstall or on another device Premium is therefore back by itself, as soon as the same Google account is signed in.
5. Availability and changes
The app is provided “as is”. There is no claim to a particular level of availability, to individual stations or to particular features.
The provider keeps developing the app and may change or add features. The scope of the free version will not be cut back afterwards: what is free today stays free.
Should the provider discontinue the app, this will be announced in advance with reasonable notice on this website, and where possible in the app as well. Running subscriptions can be cancelled through Google Play as described above.
These terms can change, for example when new features arrive. The version published on this page applies; version and date are shown at the top. Significant changes are announced on this website.
6. Liability
The provider’s liability is excluded as far as the law allows. This applies in particular to third-party content (stations, podcasts, directories), to outages and interruptions of streams, and to costs arising from data usage – depending on your plan, streaming uses a lot of data.
Liability for intent and gross negligence, for personal injury and in every other case where the law requires liability remains unaffected.
7. Privacy
The app has no user account. Favorites, subscriptions, listening progress, saved songs and settings stay on the device. Which services the app contacts and what data reaches third parties is described in the privacy policy.
If you want to delete this data, clear the app data in the Android settings or uninstall the app. There is nothing at the provider that could be deleted.
8. Governing law
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
If you use the app as a consumer, the mandatory provisions of the law at your place of residence remain unaffected – including the courts responsible there.
9. Contact
Questions, notices and complaints go to support@podwelle.app. The app has no report button of its own – notices about stations, podcasts and episodes go to this address. It is also shown in the app’s about dialog.
